Retro Filmdango Eps. 3 - Gremlins 2, Shaun of the Dead & S——– C— (Oct. 25, 2017)

October 25th, 2017

Oh, the horror!  It's time for another Retro Filmdango.  This month, in the spirit of Halloween, we're tackling three scary movies.  Well, two of them are horror/comedies; Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) and Shaun of the Dead (2004), but the third, secret film is a nightmare inducing mind-job recommended by our resident horror expert, Matt a.k.a. Cygnus Destroyer, a.k.a. The LJN Defender.  Geez, what did you expect from this guy?

Seriously, folks.  You'll want to check out his recommendation before listening.  You won't soon forget it.

Retro Filmdango Eps. 2 - Moon & Dark City (Sept. 15, 2017)

September 15th, 2017

Do you like movies?  Do you like listening to two guys you never heard of talk about movies?  Then step right up.  On this podcast hosts Kevin (@BuriedonMars) and Richard (@TheRamVox) recommend films to each other to watch for the very first time.  This episode we discuss three science fiction films:  Moon (2009), Dark City (1998), and our mutual pick selected just for you, the listener.  It's meaty!

Retro Fandango Eps. 63 - Tasty Mars Meat (Sept. 7, 2017)

September 6th, 2017

September already?  Where does the time go?  I'll tell you where, into a two and a half hour conversation with Frantic, aka. Frantic Society, aka. Frantic 'Fro...or Josh.  As a first time guest on the Fandango, Josh is put through the wringer over his two YouTube channels, his solo podcast and his completely orignial, not at all common or cliche, favorite game of all time.  The conversatoin then jumps all over the place as we hear Kevin's recap of the most recent Barrie Game Exchange, Vox shares some recipes on the Fandango baking corner, Josh 'Defends' Marvel's "required viewing" system and there's still room for Alice Cooper, Rick & Morty, point and click adventures, ANOTHER rant spills over from a prevoius episode, AGAIN, and, yes, the title will make sense.  This episode is so good you'll poop your pants!

Retro Fandango Eps. 62 - JRock Homecoming (Aug. 10, 2017)

August 10th, 2017

"Listen.  Do you smell that?"  Everybody's favorite head-bangin', ghost-bustin', NES-hoardin' rocker is back!  The one and only @JRockGameRocker has crawled out from under his rock and into the Retro Fandango studio with Kevin and Richard for his EXCLUSIVE return appearance (suck it, everyone else).  Our sarcastic A-hole-ery is put aside for a moment as JRock shares some serious happenings from his personal life and explains why he's been absent from the social scene, but then it's full steam ahead with the Game Rocker at the helm.  In this episode we go over what we've been up to, Kevin pimps the Barrie Game Exchange, Richard poops on STCPod, we twirl Superman's moustache and - stand back folks - the Nintendo hate is through the roof.  Again.  Cue the feather!  "Do, do, do, do, do, do, do..."

Retro Fandango Eps. 61 - The Last of the Schwarzeneggers (July 26, 2017)

July 26th, 2017

Yep, we gone and done it.  Schwarzenegger has been Commandoed.  No, no, that's not it.  He's been True Lied.  Nope.  Darn it, there's a joke here somewhere.  Anyway, after a healthy run the idea that was the Genisys of Retro Fandango is being Erased.  We took a lot of Red Heat from our loyal listeners on this one as they consider it a Raw Deal but you've got to trust us.  It's not the End of Days.  We're going to keep the movie talk Running, Man.  But, I'm getting ahead of myself.  We still have one Last Action Hero movie discussion for you all.  In this final 'Schwarzenneger' episode we are joined by our good friend @VintageVGGeek as we talk Total Recall (1990) and Demolition Man (1993).  That's two films, three seashells and Bob Picardo!  But wait, there's more!  Stick around till the end for information on the future of our movie talk as we announce the details for our brand new show!  "Nose to see you."

Retro Fandango Eps. 60 - Three Dicks and an Ass Feather (July 12, 2017)

July 12th, 2017

The title says it all, doesn't it?  No, it doesn't because there's always more beaneath the surface at Retro Fandango.  For starters, we're joined this time by special guest, THEE, that's right, TheSingleBanana.  He gives us the low down on, SheHateHorror,  something about lunchboxes and Krull.  Yeah, Krull.  Evey try watching that?  We also go through what we've been up to, Vox complete's his required viewing of Game of Thrones, Kevin still hates Nintendo and we highly reccomend that you download anything and everything you can get your hands on.  Oh, and be sure to bend over about half way thorugh because the RF Ass Feather is in full swing regarding the Schwarzenegger Evolution.  Tickle, tickle.
